What Is a PPM Contract?

A Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contract schedules regular inspection, servicing and compliance testing of your mechanical assets – before they fail. Instead of paying unpredictable reactive call-out fees, you pay a fixed annual fee and get a documented, SFG20-aligned maintenance programme. PPM reduces downtime, extends asset life, protects manufacturer warranties and generates the compliance audit trail required for insurance, CQC, Ofsted, ISO and building certifications.

What is the minimum contract term?

Standard PPM contracts are 12 months with 30-day rolling notice after year one. Bespoke terms (24/36 months) are available with commercial pricing concessions.

A service agreement covers a single asset type (e.g., just boilers). A PPM contract covers all mechanical assets across your site(s), with a unified schedule, single SLA and consolidated compliance reporting. PPM contracts are designed for estates of five or more mechanical assets.

Bronze and Silver tiers cover labour only – parts are quoted separately. Gold tier includes parts up to an agreed contract value. All tiers include genuine manufacturer parts to preserve warranties.

Yes. PPM contracts are designed for multi-site operators. New sites are added under a variation order within 10 working days. Site removals can be processed at contract review points.

Yes. Clients receive monthly PDF compliance packs and real-time access to a client portal with job history, certificates and asset register. CSV exports available for integration with your CAFM or ISO audit systems.
